Allies of Infinity

Allies of Infinity borrows its chord progression from the intro of an old gipsy jazz standard called “Made for Wesley” and is the result of trying to create an alternative rock song that sounds fantastic and huge. Although the song uses a rather conservative instrumentation lacking any synthesizers or digital effects, Allies of Infinity’s style is fresh yet nostalgic. The lyrics don’t mean anything. They were just written to sound as epic as possible not conveying any deeper meaning. They just serve their purpose, which is atypical for us, as our songwriting is mainly driven by personal experience.

lyrics

verse

The war
Against infinity
Preaching the lies
Foolish and blurred

Beneath all the cries
And holy trinities
Seeming like spies
Selling the world

chorus

Don't be afraid
Look into their eyes
The price that you've paid
Trust your disguise

Don't be afraid
Look into their eyes
The price that you've paid
Trust your disguise

verse

Your face
So pure and innocent
Wishing to heal
The wounds of the time

But our traces
They are equivalent
Stop denying it's real
We're partners in crime

chorus

Don't be afraid
Look into their eyes
The price that you've paid
Trust your disguise

Don't be afraid
Look into their eyes
The price that you've paid
Trust your disguise

outro

Don't be afraid

c'mon miss the shit out of me

C’mon miss the shit out of me is an attempt to process emotions in a juvenile and relatable way. The song started out as a solo-work from our singer Peter Planker. After bringing it to rehearsal he quickly realised that the boys had a vision for this song. A vision that was manifested in an ever-repeating mantra throughout the chorus, an outstanding guitar solo by Clemens Niederegger, and a dirty but sentimental instrumentation. Although the song originally incorporated a lot of complex harmony, the end product was a simple four-chord song with some twists to it. This song is the first to use explicit language and rap. It resulted in a rather pop-ish single with lyrics that are brutally honest.

lyrics

So let me get this straight
That after all this time
Without me you're doin' great
And everything's just fine

Let me get this straight
You think I crossed the line
You got to choose my fate
Our friendship's got declined

Come again sweet basic bitch
Now I know why you're alone
Even though you're fuckin' rich
Your love always felt like a loan

Sorry to break it to you
But you're living cliché
Judging things people say
But all your shit is okay

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Now I think I am glad
It feels like I got expelled
From conversations we had
Because you can't stand yourself

You're fuckin copy and paste
With basic musical taste
The quirky girl you wanna be
Is not a personality

Now I don't care who's right
I really hope you are wrong
I tried to swallow my pride
But it is bigger than I thought

It is so sad

How much I miss you

How much I support you

How much I adore you

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Cmon miss the shit out of me

Changing Yourself

Changing Yourself was the first ever song we wrote together. After we performed it live, the FOH-man recorded the performance onto a harddrive and told us he wanted to work with us. We did not realise that the song was usable, for we composed it as teenagers and only played it when we ran out of songs. The same producer, Rin99er, is with us to this day. We released the live-version in 2022, three years after it was written. The studio version was in developement hell for a year and we are very proud of it. The lyrics are shallow and a bit awkward - as to be expected from a song written by teens. The single is the most simple from our repertoire but it is produced like nothing else we ever recorded.

lyrics

Long time no see
My friend
If you don′t mind me
Calling you that way

Our friendship it feels like
No mans land
Because it feels so different
It feels so changed

Do you lose somebody
By just changing yourself
Do you keep somebody
By staying the same

If you want to live your life
Like somebody else
Does it mean you have to be alone
Standing in the rain

Characters develop
Personalities emerge

Simply doing nothing
Equals war

I never meant to hurt you
But things changed for the worse
I don't even recognize you anymore

Do you lose somebody
By just changing yourself
Do you keep somebody
By staying the same

If you want to live your life
Like somebody else
Does it mean you have to be alone
Standing in the rain

Do you lose somebody
By just changing yourself
Do you keep somebody
By staying the same

If you want to live your life
Like somebody else
Does it mean you have to be alone
Standing in the rain

the anvils live!
